Excellent song 👍 the footage of gorgeous ladies in designer dresses . And again I realize they most likely my mothers age . A hope they aged as gracefully as my dear mother .
This is some of the best content on UA-cam 👍👍👍 Trust me I'm a UA-cam addict I've seen a lot😮 I'll be kicking you down some bread here in the near future.
More genius
Perfect minor key psych (:
Super FAB!
👍❤️
Such an HBO-esque tune, never heard it before and its magnificent 😎
Kings road Chelsea,my stomping ground in the 90’s
such a killer tune
0:34 If I didn't know any better, I would say the blonde is frugging to the groove of this gem. Nicely done!
Jim Sullivan played the electric sitar, as in here, in an episode of the the sci fi series Space 1999 : m.ua-cam.com/video/CFdXjR3Fxvo/v-deo.html
Excellent love that sound
Cool thanks! 🤘🏻💀🤘🏻
How refreshing, What a great song with a great film of people shopping at independent retailors, and not mobile phone in sight.
On a hot day like today, this is the right music! And even from my southern neighbours! There's a lot to see in your video, besides the pretty ladies and classic car models, the length of the fashion stands out. Also striking in the street scene is the couple dressed all in black. They almost look like New Wave/Gothic as we know it from the late 70s and 80s. Fascinating clip!
Edwin, what a find, l didn't know this gem! I'm really impressed, the song sounds so easy going and sunny, but has a great psychedelic effect with its recurring elements! Did you know this excellent pearl, my garage and cave mate? Greetings
@@berndjenter4005 Bernd, my garage mate from Hamburg! How beautifully you described that in your comments! You have something poetic in your way of expression. Yes, the song really appeals to me too! And like you, I knew neither the band nor this song. The video is also intriguing. I also look at it from a historical and artistic point of view. They remain fantastic time capsules of a period gone by. I hope you are doing well Bernd! Greetings!
Thanks Edwin, you can call me Heine, Baudelaire, Rimbaud, or just Hank Chinasky! They say Germany is the country of poets and thinkers, although I can't believe it! Cheers, Lord Byron aka B.J. P.S. Your writing isn't bad as well! Btw I don't know any Dutch poets, only great painters!
@@berndjenter4005 👍😅
UA-cam ads are inhumane Pavlovian exercises in poised fingers over skip buttons. UA-cam should be ashamed of itself.
STILL THE SEXIST ERA.
they look so oppressed
The cars, the music, the clothing and more freedom(1960's). I think the more free a people the more creative they are.
Wow,, how cool that sounds! A garage-psych gem with a great bassline groove I could listen to in an loop endlessly,! And how colorful the fashion was back then in the streets of Brussels, London, Amsterdam, etc. I really love this song from a Belgian group and the easier lifestyle which is shown in your perfect video! Yeah, The Tops are top choice, heavenlyblueorange! Thx
great song with a superb video thanks HBO
Not one I'm familiar with but it's Tops with me and the video takes me back when life was More Free And Easy!!!. Good One Yeah Rog.
Nesse canal, é certeza de vídeos fabulosos!
Wonderful psychedelic folk. Is that electric sitar? Doesn't reflect the sounds of 1972. Perhaps a bit dated? It really doesn't matter. It's great psych any way you slice it. HBO, you're video is tops. Dedicated followers of fashion.
Sounds like a slightly out of tune 12 string. Sitar is a bitch to play; he'd have to have some skill. Funny how the 60s sensibilities held on into the 70s until punk and disco blew up the mass marketing approach. !967 acid freakout morphed into Bubblegum as the bridge, with the Peter Max psychedelia-lite and the attendant macrame and Laugh-In pastiche.
@@solitaryman777 A company called Coral made an electric sitar played like a regular guitar with 6 strings. It had 13 (I think) "drone" strings that rang sympathetically. Heard on The Box Tops "Cry Like a Baby".
@@SixStrRzr "Cry Like A Baby" yeah, I know that one. How about "Green Tambourine" by Lemon Pipers. It has that same sound. Cheers
@@thomassmith8721 Same Coral electric sitar.

What film is the clips from with the guy on the bike with the sitar ? thanks
Escalation (1968) do check it out!
@@heavenlyblueorange Thanks
The guitar solo is very electric prunes circa Mass in F Minor & i Dig it!!
great tune !
These lyrics have the same Flower Punk spirit as Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention. In fact, it seems easy to be a hippie when you can go home, get a job and vote for Richard Nixon. It's also easy to forget those who die at the Lorraine Motel. My baby is gentle and she′s wild, She wears a button on her shoulder saying I'm a flower child, Thats a groovy thing to be, If she wasn′t loving me, Cause I start sneezing for hours I'm allergic to flowers! We met at the love-in - at the park, She handed me a rose And then we danced 'til dark But there′s one thing I don′t need And that's a sunflower seed, For she says they possess special powers I′m allergic to flowers! The rock and roll gypsies everywhere, And the smell of incense in the air, At last my mind is really free, Except for my stupid allergies I know I really look the part, I'm flower all the way, And I feel it in my heart, I want so bad to be, A flower child, you see? I′ll blow my mind if our love ever sours I'm allergic to flowers! I′m allergic to flowers! I'm allergic to flowers! I'm allergic to flowers! Writer(s): Dave Burgess, Keith Colley
And in 1968 the Cuyahoga river caught on fire. Not enough of a wakeup call for civilization?
What footage is this? Amazing
Music video really brings this song to life!
Sexy music

This association of freakbeat with the mods of the 1960s is curious. Smocks, necklaces and long hair were the death of mod. Skinheads won't let me lie.
Very smooth video. Nice tune.
Oh,Youth, why have thou forsaken me ?
heavenlyblueorange,sunnyboy66,nelly nelly,funked up east.A great gang!
I remember this record from late summer 1967, great song! Together with some more iconic tunes from that period like REVOLUTION from Tomorrow, DREAM MAGAZINE from Svensk, A LITTLE BIT OF SHANGRI-LA from Our Plastic Dream, PENTECOAST HOTEL from Nirvana, RED SKY AT NIGHT from The Accent, IF THE WEATHER'S SUNNY from The Smoke.

There is something Beatle'esque about this tune. The vocals sound a bit like John's. The piccolo trumpet -- "audio shades" of "Penny Lane." Or is just me? Still, this is a wondrously haunting psychedelic masterpiece. I'd say that you can even dance a waltz to it! Many thanks, heavenlyblueorange!
One of Arthur Lee's best. Love this song 😀
This probably came out the same year I was born - NEVER heard this song before - I LOVE IT!!
